When they approached us, our customer was looking for windows that had excellent heat retention properties that would match the existing design of the property. Originally single glazed, the newly installed windows and timber door are now double glazed and cased in our excellent quality timber window frames. Not only has our thermally-efficient timber helped improve insulation but they have also enhanced the already opulent property.
Being south-facing windows, we have installed Pilkington’s Solar Control glass to help reduce the amount of heat transfer from direct sunlight in the evening. This will also help maintain temperate conditions all year round. With such a large window space, it was imperative that the installed glass was of the highest quality. As a market leader in premium quality glass supply, Pilkington’s Solar Control glass is a high-performance off-line coated solar control and low-emissivity glass and was perfect for the project.

This Idigbo frame on this timber window is simply breathtaking and it has more to it than meets the eye. With Jotun Demidekk’s paint, matched to a Farrow and Ball paint, on the frame, the timber has a beautiful long lasting finish. We love the quality of this paint. It offers the highest levels of protection and as it was so easy to colour-match making it ideal for this project.

The attention to detail was also no exception when installing the timber door. It was important that the door was well-secured, allowing no heat to leave the property or outdoor elements to enter. Like all of our projects, our expert team worked closely with the customer to ensure it was to their exact liking and met all of their needs. Preservative-treated and stained, the timber door is designed to withstand the elements throughout the year and provide a high level of longevity.
