We’ve been manufacturing and supplying high-quality timber products for almost a century.

A family business, FA North (Carlton) Limited started trading in 1930, producing a range of joinery products. Our current directors are now in their 33rd year and the company has expanded considerably as we continue to carry out all our manufacturing at our Carlton Hill site.

We pride ourselves on having a team of highly skilled staff who manufacture our products to an impeccable standard. We provide excellent customer service and our team has the ability to deliver unique and challenging joinery projects in a range of locations.

Historically, we’ve become experienced at working alongside clients, architects or project managers to ensure that we can deliver exactly what is needed and overcome the bumps in the road to get the job done. In fact, we’ve gained a wealth of experience over the years working on period properties and listed buildings such as bespoke timber conservatories and french Bi-fold doors.

As a specialist joinery firm in Nottingham, we are able to manufacture a vast range of products and we’re especially skilled in making windows, doors and conservatories. You’ll also find kitchens, floors and staircase renovations in our portfolio - we can provide the most bespoke joinery and we’re happy to discuss your needs and provide a quote for your project.

Along with our wealth of experience, we’re also accredited with FENSA and are members of the British Woodworking Federation. For further peace of mind, we offer a 10-year guarantee on timber windows and a 5-year guarantee on double glazing.

We’re based on Carlton Hill, approximately fifteen minutes drive from Nottingham city centre. While we do have an on-site showroom, we can bring you everything you’ll need to make a decision. This will also give us the opportunity to understand your property and to discuss the best way to keep the traditional character along with any period features.
