We had the pleasure of manufacturing and supplying this beautiful oak staircase for a customer in Nottinghamshire.
The customer was looking for something that would blend seamlessly with the oak details throughout their home. Wanting to transform the indoor entrance area into something that would wow, they partnered with Architect Gil Schalom who helped imagine the space as something much more than simply a means of travelling from A to B.
Made out of full oak with birch ply risers, the staircase has entirely transformed the space, allowing light to fill all areas. Long oak spindles have elongated the appearance of the stairs and have helped in creating a more dynamic and modern look - tying together the oak detailing throughout the property.
The extended spindles have also helped in creating a small cubby-hole underneath the stairs, used to store shoes and coats. Different from standard staircases, we inserted metal pins to connect the handrail and the spindles which added another element of elongation to the staircase.
To meet exacting industry standards, we inserted treads which have anti-slip grooves housed into them. We always pay attention to detail, so ensuring that our timber products meet industry standards through being the safest standard and of the highest quality is extremely important to us for every project.
With staircase renovations becoming an increasingly popular choice in homes throughout the UK, we have manufactured and produced a huge number of unique staircases across the Nottinghamshire area and beyond. As well as using oak as we have for this project, we also supply stairs in a variety of materials including white wood with MDF treads and American Black Walnut, Ash, Beech and Maple.
We are experts when it comes to producing truly show-stopping staircases. Our timber staircases are made to measure and bespoke to the properties in which they are installed. We install traditional and contemporary timber staircases in Nottingham and throughout the East Midlands and we are here to talk you through the whole process to find the right materials for your home.
